Julio Reyes Copello Nominated for a GRAMMY AWARD 2013 under the Category of Best Latin Pop Album

December 7th, 2012 – Colombian producer, Julio Reyes Copello, has been nominated for the 55th Grammy Awards under the category of Best Latin Pop Album for his work on Kany García’s album, Kany García. A number of the categories were revealed during the Grammy nominations concert special this past Wednesday, broadcast live on CBS from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., and hosted by LL Cool J and Taylor Swift.

Reyes Copello will be up against the work of producers on albums such as Independienteby Ricardo Arjona, Ilusión by Fonseca, ¿Con Quién Se Queda El Perro? by Jesse Y Joy, and MTV Unplugged Deluxe Edition by Juanes.

Composer, pianist, arranger, and producer, Reyes Copello, produced Kany Garcia’s Live DVD/ Album, with first single “Que Te Vaya Mal”; the song reached #1 on the iTunes sales charts as well as in 12 countries.  In addition, earlier this year, Reyes Copello, received two nominations for the 13th Latin Grammy Awards for the category of Record of The Year for his work as producer of Alejandro Sanz’ song “No Me Compares,” and Kany García’s “Que Te Vaya Mal.”

The 55th Grammy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on February 10, 2013. CBS will televise the ceremony.
